Our Advisory Director receives prestigious UK professorship award
Dear Readers,we at DiponED BioIntelligence are very proud to announce you that renowned orthopaedic surgeon Prof.Anan Shetty who also happens to be our advisory Director on Board has been awarded the prestigious Hunterian Professorship and Medal for 2017 by UK's Royal College of Surgeons for his research on stem cells in articular cartilage repair.He is a Non-Residing Indian currently located at London,UK.
The Hunterian Professorship is among the most highly-regarded annual awards in the field of surgery.It is Named after the pioneering surgeon and scientist John Hunter and dates back to over two centuries. The Hunterian Professorship is considered to be one of the proudest traditional honours of the college bestowed on surgeons of eminence who have highly contributed to the field of surgery by original research or ground-breaking innovations. The honour of delivering the Hunterian lecture is regarded by surgeons around the world as a great privilege to recognise their work.
Now let us give you a brief introduction of Prof.Anan Shetty.He is a former senior lecturer at King’s College in London where he taught and examined both undergraduate and postgraduate students.He is also involved with training the orthopaedic surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons of England,London.He is also leading some of the world class research surgery in knee surgery. His reputation as a knee surgeon and orthopaedic teacher attracts surgeons and patients from all over the world.Also,Mr.Shetty has been recognised as one of the most innovative surgeons by his colleagues and a gifted surgeon by his teachers. Apart from his surgical innovations he is the first surgeon to use the robotics in arthroscopic knee surgery in the world and gel based cartilage repair surgery in the UK. He has been highly respected and admired both by his students and colleagues. He has authored many books and published extensively in the peer reviewed journals. He is the winner of the Fred Heatley prize for research and Elsevier prize for best publication. In 2008 he was awarded the silver medal in recognition of his teaching and research. He has travelled widely and given many national and international lectures, recently being appointed as a visiting professor of orthopaedics.Given below are some of his professional memberships:-

Apart from all the above extra-ordinary achievements,Mr.Shetty is also the founder and director of the Kent Knee Unit based at the Spire Alexandra Hospital in south-east England, established in response to the requirement and management of knee disorders.Not only that, he has also authored many books and is the winner of the Fred Heatley Prize for Research and Elsevier Prize for Best Publication.
